I am an experienced client centred counsellor. A down to earth, friendly person with a good sense of humour. Counselling is challenging, but I will put you at ease.
In an earlier career I worked for 14 years in mental health for the NHS. I became a qualified Humanistic Counsellor from the University of Chichester in 2019. I have a BA with Honours First Class in Humanistic counselling.
My experience includes 10 years at a local hospice in 1-1 bereavement support and counselling. Through this time I have gained experience in bereavement support and then continued as a qualified counsellor. Through out this time participating in training and supervision. I have personal experience of a significant bereavement in my life.
The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists is a professional body of which I am a registered member (388015). I follow the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018). I attend supervision every month to ensure my ethical practice. This also supports my well-being. I engage regularly in Continuing Professional Development.
