FAQs

How much do you charge per session?

The fee for a 50-60 minute session is £55. Payment is due before the session.

Concessionary fees

I am open to discuss concessionary fees, although these spaces are limited. Please contact me to discuss

What happens after I have contacted you?

I will contact you to arrange a free 30 minute consultation. We will talk briefly about what brings you to seek counselling and how I work. Also, to see if it would be right for us to move ahead with sessions together. There is no obligation to go forward and you may need time to reflect before making a decision. Once we agree to work together we can arrange your first session.

What is your availability?

I offer counselling sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays 9.30-6.30pm

What is your approach?

My approach is humanistic and person-centred. I believe giving people the right space and conditions can gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and move towards meaningful change

Can counselling help if I’ve been struggling with the same issues for years?

Yes. Many people come to counselling because they feel stuck in patterns that have been present for a long time. Together we can explore how these patterns may have developed, what purpose they once served, and whether they are still serving you today. Greater understanding can lead to the possibility of change

Is everything I say confidential?

Everything discussed in counselling is confidential, with a small number of exceptions relating to safety and legal responsibilities. These will be explained fully at the start of our work together.

How do you offer counselling?

Counselling is built on the relationship between counsellor and client. Having a space where you feel listened to, accepted and understood can create the safety needed to explore difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences. Sessions are led by you and your needs, the issues you wish to explore and we will go at your pace. I’m not there to force what you talk about, however I am always ready to listen to whatever you wish to share when you are ready. Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly.
